Objective:To investigate the relationship between the serum level of heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) and macrophage inflammatory protein-1β(MIP-1β) in coronary atherosclerosis heart disease, and to investigate the variability of them between the Korean-Chinese and the Han nationality patients with coronary atherosclerosis heart disease of Yanbian. Methods:Serum concentration of HO-1 and MIP-1βwere measured in 22 patients of the Korean-Chinese, in 26 patients of the Han nationality and 20 controls by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The relation between HO-1 and MIP-1βwas compared. Results:Age, sex, etiological factor (TG,HDL-C,LDL-C) were not obviously variability in the Korean-Chinese, the Han nationality and control groups(P>0.05); Serum concentration of HO-1, MIP-1βwere significantly increased in the Korean-Chinese and the Han nationality groups as compared with the control groups (P<0.01); Serum concentration of HO-1 was significantly higher in the Korean-Chinese groups than in the Han nationality groups (P<0.01); Serum concentration of MIP-1βhad no obviously difference between the Korean-Chinese and the Han nationality groups (P>0.05); The serum level of HO-1 and MIP-1βwas positive correlation in the patients with coronary heart disease. Conclusion:The involvement and interaction of both HO-1 and MIP-1βpromote the pathological development process of coronary heart disease, and the difference of the morbility and mortality between the Korean-Chinese and Han nationality patients with coronary heart disease at Yanbian should be correlated with the serum level of HO-1. |
