The Effects Of Jinlong Capsule Combined With GP Regimen On The Expression Of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor In Serum And The Curative Effect For Patients With Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

ObjectiveTo research the effects of Jinlong capsule combined with GP regimen on the expression level of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in serum, objective curative effect, chan-ges of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms and quality of life with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.MethodsSixty cases of advanced NSCLC were divided into two groups randomly. Thirty cases in the treatment group were treated with GP regimen and Jinlong capsule, while 30 cases in the control group were treated with GP regimen merely. The VEGF level in serum, changes of tumor and traditional Chinese medicine symptoms, quality of life and adverse reaction were observed.Results1.The changes of VEGF level in serum,the VEGF level in serum of treament group and control group before the therapy is (824.50±164.82) pg/mL and (831.07±143.42) pg/mL respectively.The difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).The VEGF level in serum of treament group and control group after the therapy is (542.13±114.66) pg/mL and (748.53±149.52) pg/mL respectively,which descend compared with before,The difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05).The VEGF level in serum of treatment group descends more than the control group after the therapy, difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05).2.In the objective curative effect of tumor, the clinical benefit ratio of treatment group is 86.67%, while that of control group is 63.33%, the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05).3.In the changes of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms,the total improve rate in the symptoms of treatment group is 80.00%, while that of control group is 53.33%, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).4.1n the quality of life after the therapythe total improve rate in the treatment group is 53.33%, while that of control group is 30%, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).5.Both groups show different degree of chemotherapy adverse reaction, such as bone marrow inhibition, nausea, vomiting and constipation, and no liver and kidney function abnormalities or ECG abnormalities. No fatal adverse reaction occurs. The difference of adverse reaction rate in two groups was statistically significant (P>0.05).Conclusion1.For the patients with advanced NSCLC, Jinlong capsule combined with GP regimen can decrease the VEGF level in serum further.2.Jinlong capsule combined with GP regimen can improve the clinical benefit rate compared with GP regimen merely, and further improve the symtoms of traditonal medicine and quality of life.
