| Objective:To Comparison the effects between poking reduction and open reduction for the treatment of Sanders type II calcaneal fractures, in order to provide evidence for standard treatment.Methods:From 2005.1 to 2010.1,56 patients with Sanders typeⅡcalcaneal fractures were selected and analyzed Retrospectively.The average age was 36.5 years (range,15～61 years), all the patients were closed Sanders typeⅡcalcaneal fractures.The follow-up time was from 7 months to 30 months, average 15 months.Among them 27 patients (16 males and 11 females) in poking reduction group and 29 patients (18 males and 11 females)in open reduction group.Bohler's angle, Gissane's angle, the height of central calcaneus and the width of central calcaneus were measured and Compared with each other.In addition, The functional were evaluation and concluded with the Scoring system of AOFAS.Results:In the poking reduction group and open reduction group, the Bohler's angle were (30.57±2.91) degree and (32.70±2.34) degree, the Gissane's angle were(132.60±3.61)degree and(135.97±3.20) degree, the height of central calcaneus were (38.27±1.63) mm and (39.59±1.10) mm, the width of central calcaneus were (34.84±1.82) mm and (32.71±1.08) mm, the scores of AOFAS were (83.59±10.43) scores and (84.69±10.56) scores, the hospital days and costs of hospitalization of the poking reduction group were (7.26±1.26) days and (8069.89±955.24) yuan, the hospital days and costs of hospitalization of the open reduction group were (14.45±2.69) days and (13933.79±718.91) yuan.Conclusion:The curative effect of the poking reduction is similar to that of the open reduction in treating Sanders typeⅡcalcaneal fractures.But the poking reduction is superior to that of the open reduction on the hospital days, costs of hospitalization and postoperative complications.So poking reduction is a simple, convenient, effective and economic method to treat Sanders typeⅡcalcaneal fractures.We suggest promotion this methods in clinical. |
