Clinical Analysis Of 190 Cases Of The Early-stage Breast Cancer's Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy (SLNB)

Objective:To evaluate the feasibility of sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB) in early stage breast cancer and predict axillary lymph node staging, compare blue dye method with combined method on the detection rate of SLN,and to analyze the influence factors such as position of tumors, tumor size, position of injection, age, histological types to the SLNB. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted to analyze 190 cases of breast cancer's sentinel lymph node biopsy on the consent of patients in the affiliated tumor hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from July 21st 2009 to Aug 25th 2010. All cases signed on the operation consent forms.134 patients were performed the radionuclide tracer combined with methylene blue to locate the SLN,and the other 56 patients'SLN were located by methylene blue. Axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) were applied in postive SLN cases. If the SLN was negative, whether to carry out ALND will be selected by operators according to the patients'wishes and their specific circumsances. Results: 188 patients'sentinel lymph nodes were detected successfully in all 190 cases, only 2 cases were not detected, the detection rate was 98.9%, the accuracy rate was 94.6%, the false negative rate was 11.6%. Conclusion:SLNB can predict the axillary lymph nodes staging situation accurately.Both the method of radionuclide tracer combined with methylene blue and only the methylene blue can locate the SLN accurately the doctor can choose anyone according to the situation,Age factors has significant effect to the detection rate and false negative rate. The position of tumors, tumor size, position of injection, histological types have no influences to the SLNB.The patients who accepted SLNB have less complications than the patients who accepted ALND.
