At present, the deterioration of soil quality in China has become increasingly prominent.The declining soil fertility overdraft the soil production potential, the barren nutrients andpollution of soil is a direct threat to food security and human health. The soil scientists devotethemselves to soil fertility, and explore the soil fertility evolution, mechanism and measures toenhance the study of soil fertility, soil degradation mechanism and restoration and pollutioncontrol technology, to protect soil and agricultural sustainable use and development.Soil fertility monitoring stations as the primary means of soil fertility research in China,an important part of the soil quality monitoring system, foundation works of repair soildegradation and pollution prevention research, it is committed to major national soil problems,designed to reveal the soil fertility evolution and nutrient balance in the different regions,different types and different managements to guide agricultural rational fertilization,determine mechanism and restoration and prevention technology R&D of soil degradation&pollution, but also long-term monitoring of soil and meteorological data. It has an importantstrategic position in the macro-and long-term perspective of the national soil safety.With the social development, soil fertility monitoring system in China can no longermeet the needs of the era of social and scientific development. According to differentage-specific background, give the stations a new historical mission to reflect the fresh vitalityand pragmatic scientific attitude of China's scientific research. Therefore, we should adhere tothe long-term monitoring without wavering, in line with the attitude of keeping pace with thetimes, making a comprehensive evaluation of the monitoring system in China, for theproblems of the existing monitoring stations and the times requires.This study looks at the current soil fertility monitoring system, researching formsignificant achievements of the Agricultural Experiment Stations domestic and overseas, thecontribution to scientific research of soil sustainable use, the management model of theAgricultural Experiment Station domestic and overseas, lack of soil fertility monitoringsystem in China, summarize the function and management of soil fertility monitoring stations,how to learn from abroad more mature experience and technology to improve our soil fertilitymonitoring system. The results show that the main problems of soil fertility monitoringsystem in China as following: Unreasonable stations strategic layout and planning, the lack of uniform standards and supervisory organs, the personnel management system is not perfect,areas of research and monitoring over a single and its contribution rate is generally low, aserious shortage of funding for small and medium-sized stations, the management of fundshas deficiencies. Recommendations: First, the national monitoring site layout planning shouldhave unified standards, standardized management, strengthening AC between stations toavoid duplication of distribution and efficient use of research resources, set the stationsmonitoring supervisory organs, promote orderly development of the entire monitoring system;Second, resolutely implement the principle of "open" to strengthen the foreign exchange, andthe flow of technology and talents through project cooperation; again to ensure that thestations relatively independent personnel authority and financial authority, fully engaged inresearch; then, effective in promoting the combination of industry contribution rate ofmonitoring stations, and promote the common development of related industries. Finally,starting from the global and long-term research and monitoring the spatial and temporalcontinuity, increase research funding to ensure the stations are running smoothly, and havesufficient funds to update equipment and maintain the inflow of talent, and attractinternational project to strengthen the research team, to build China's advanced innovationresearch system.
