The photoelectric theodolite is an important measurement equipment to obtain external trajectory data. The traditional fixation station theodolite can not meet the needs of the modern range for measurement. The vehicle photoelectric theodolite with mobility, adaptability, high accuracy, economical and practical advantages has become an important development direction. Improving the analysis of angle measurement accuracy is an important part for developing high-precision vehicle photoelectric theodolite.Considering the working principle and structure characteristics of the vehicle photoelectric theodolite, measurement equation of vehicle photoelectric theodolite are established. The main impact factor of the vehicle photoelectric theodolite's angle measurement accuracy is analyzed and presented. Deformation's value range and error distribution law are confirmed. The influence law of GPS differential positioning error, vehicle platform deformation error and the photoelectric theodolite axis'error to the angle measurement accuracy of the vehicle photoelectric theodolite are obtained for using MATLAB simulation.The simulation results show that vehicle platform deformation error has the maximum impact to angle measurement accuracy. If we maintained other error constant and decrease the vehicle platform deformation from 20″down to 5",the vehicle photoelectric theodolite's angle measurement accuracy will improve 60%.
