In the thermal power plant, the main steam temperature is the highest temperature point of the steam and hydraulic quality. Current research is focusing on the main steam temperature to get a reasonable and effective control. The main stream temperature is strong delay, high inertia, nonlinearity and time-variation object. Conventional PID control method can not meet the control requirements of modern large unit. Based on the researching fuzzy and predictive control method, the fuzzy-predictive control is used into the main steam temperature control and have got a good result.Based on the FCM(Fuzzy C-means Algorithm), and using the improved recursive fuzzy clustering algorithm to identify the T-S fuzzy model of the main steam temperature objects. Then linear the T-S fuzzy model into CARIMA model for GPC (generalized predictive control) to make the fuzzy-predictive control and get a good result. Because of the complex structure of the model and long-line computing time, getting an improved on-line simplified generalized predictive control algorithm.The simulator result indicates that compared with the conventional PID control method and normal fuzzy-predictive control, the new improved fuzzy predictive control algorithm has good control quality, small overshot and reduces the response speed of control system.
