Current research is focusing on the main steam temperature to get a reasonable and effective control in the thermal power plant. Main stream temperature is strong delay, high inertia, nonlinearity and time-variation object. Nowadays conventional PID keeps the lead place in the main steam temperature control system. In order to improve the control effect of conventional PID, the fuzzy predictive control is used into the main steam temperature control system based on the researching fuzzy and predictive control.Through by improving the FCM(Fuzzy C-means Algorithm), getting a new T-S fuzzy identification algorithm based on recursive fuzzy clustering method. The algorithm can achieve self-adapting fuzzy reasoning and adjusting fuzzy model on-line. The identification model of main steam temperature is finished by the algorithm. Making the T-S fuzzy identification model as the CAMIMA model of generalized predictive control, achieve the fuzzy predictive control algorithm. Use the fuzzy predictive control algorithm into the main steam temperature control system. Through by improving generalized predictive control algorithm, getting an improved on-line simplified generalized predictive control algorithm. The improved algorithm can reduce the quantity and time of computation.The simulator result indicates that the new improved fuzzy predictive control algorithm has good control quality, small overshot and reduces the response speed of control system.
