Ground cover plants as an integral part of Landscaping, its ecological adaptation is affected by attention. In recent years, more and more serious heavy metal pollution in the city. Carrying out ecological adaptation can help people select and configure the scientific landscape plants to make it maximum ecological and economic benefits , for the future urban landscape plant selection and application of scientific basis. Therefore, the adaptability of their research is very necessary. In this paper, to simulate different concentration gradients with heavy metals cd and pb in soil culture, water culture experiment, Reineckea carnea as experimental material, were used to study how the cd,pb and combined pollutions of toxic impation on the plant growth, physiology and biochemistry. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Heavy metal stress can inhibit the growth of grass, Reineckea carne growth index decreased with increasing heavy metal stress in the high concentration of stress, plants or even death, the same conditions at different concentrations of heavy metals on the same plant species for different degrees of toxicity, heavy metal stress can make chlorophyll and MDA contents change. Regardless of soil or hydroponic culture, cd and pb under the combined stress with a variety of factors.(2)In the soil culture conditions, overground biomass, underground biomass, plant height, leaf length, which are promoted in low concentrations (cd0.3mg/kg, pb500mg/kg)of Reineckea carne, and the difference was significant. With the cd, pb concentration, Reineckea carne growth was inhibited. Combined stress of lead and cadmium on the Reineckea carne in which overground biomass, underground biomass were able to demonstrate the impact of biomass and below-ground biomass decreased continuously with increasing the concentration . it has not greats effect on the length of root, leaf width. The effect of Combined stress on Reineckea carne was stronger than a single heavy metal stress. The interactive effect of Lead and cadmium was antagonistic and synergistic. Single cd5mg/kg and pb500/kg stress, the cntents of chlorophylla, chlorophyllb, total chlorophyll was shown to promote with low concentrations and inhibit with high concentrations. Heavy metal stress on the inhibition of chlorophyll content than a single heavy metals on the inhibition.Single and combined stress, the MDA content of the Reineckea carn are increased with the increasing concentration of compounds.(3)In the water culture with the low concentrations (cd1mg/l, pb100mg/l),overground biomass, plant height, leaf length, which are promote, with the increasing concentration, the growth was inhibited. Under complex treatment, aboveground biomass showed antagonistic with low concentrations and synergistic with high concentration of Reineckea carn. Underground biomas in the majority of treatment is greater than the control . It has not greats effect on the leaf width. but the length of root. Single cd 1mg/l and pb100/l,the contents of chlorophyll a chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll was promotion with low concentrations, and inhibition with high concentrations. When compound treatment of lead and cadmium, whether water or soil culture experiment, The contents of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll showed a downward trend basically, single and combined stress, the MDA content of the Reineckea carn are increased with the increasing concentration of compounds.
