In the green and ecological land, farmers use green and ecological procreation to produce green and ecological farm produce, this could improve people's health and promote the sustainable development of agriculture——this is the tenet of ecological agriculture. Ecological agriculture is the inevitable trend of traditional agriculture development in the 21st century, representing the new requirements, new characteristics:health and eco-economy, etc. Ecological agricultural health, landscape esthetics value, and ecological economy are the cores of sustainable development. Well ecological agriculture provides the material basis and environmental protection for social economy, while social economy back-feeding agriculture, it can protect the ecological agricultural.According to the main problems of ecological agriculture health, agriculture landscape and eco-economy, we consider the whole benefit of "people—society—ecology—economy". Taking the underdeveloped rural economic zone of Xulian and the developed rural economic zone of Taihu in Jiangsu province as examples, bringing the new evaluation methods for ecological agriculture which is based on the SPSS, GIS and MODEL, and then, through screening landscape assessment indicators and agriculture evaluating indicators from such 3 fields as economy, society and ecology, the comprehensive assessment indicators system for regional eco-agriculture landscape were brought forward. The regional agro-ecosystem health and ecological economic development level and the single factors of the eco-environment were analyzed. At last, according to the evaluation and analysis results, the paper put forward a series of counter measure to achieve the agro-ecosystem sustainable development of Xulian and Taihu regions.1. In this paper, in the light of existing defects in theory and method of agriculture landscape assessment, fundamental insight and theoretical basis were both expounded. Through screening landscape assessment indicators and agriculture evaluating indicators from such 3 fields as economy, society and ecology, the comprehensive assessment indicators system for regional agriculture ecological landscape were brought forward. Meanwhile, to extract agriculture landscape space indicators, the method combined with GIS based model-building was introduced to diversify the data acquisition of agriculture landscape assessment and visualize the assessment results.2. Follow the people-oriented, sustainability, level-oriented, prospectie, advanced, the static and the dynamic, the study establishes target layer, benchmark layer, factors layer and indicators layer. Including 16 indictors:Land carrying capacity, Grain yield of farm land, Average number of agricultural technician of per 10000 population, Agricultural net output value of per km2, Net income per villager, Percent of livestock value, Percent of cash crop area, Vegetation coverage, Soil and water erosion rate, Population density, Diathesis of rural labourer, agricultural production value proportion, Grain per capita, Area of ensure stable yields despite drought and excessive rain, plant diseases and insect pests prevention and cure proportion, Agricultural expenditure proportion. Combining with Arcgis, this paper analyzed the single environmental factors in representative years. Through the agricultural ecological environment health evaluation model, it assessed the regional agro-ecosystem health system from 1999 to 2008 about 2 rural economic zones in Jiangsu province as a case. The agricultural ecological environment health index of Xulian rural economic zone was lower than Taihu rural economic zone. Agriculture development was short of stabilization before 2004, and after 2004 the health eased up. The agricultural ecological environment health comprehensive indicators of Taihu rural economic zone were very high, and agriculture ecological system is stable, but after 2004 because of the contradiction between the place and the people, the agricultural ecological environment health showed slightly downward trend.3. Based on the comprehensive consideration of "people—society—ecology economy", this paper established three levels of agricultural ecological economic evaluation indicators system, including 22 indicators:Farmers'satisfaction, Diathesis of rural labourer, Engel coefficient of rural households, Regional population size (inhabitants per km2), Proportion of agricultural laborer, Electricity consumption per Gross agricultural output value, average number of agricultural technician of per 10000 population, agricultural expenditure as a share of fiscal expenditure, mean annual temperature, annual precipitation, annual sunshine hours, vegetation coverage, soil and water erosion rate, land multiple cropping indicators, percent of normal environmental quality of soil, use of pesticides per hm2 of farm land, use of fertilizer per hm2 of farm land, per capita average GDP, net income per villager, grain per capita, total powers of agriculture machine per hm2, percent of irrigable farm land. Using the principal component analysis, this study inspects and screens the evaluation index system. And then, through the agricultural ecological economic evaluation model, it assessed the regional agricultural ecological economic situation from 1999 to 2008 about 2 rural economic zones in Jiangsu province as a case. The economic development of Taihu rural economic zone was relatively stable, gradually it transformed from the low level of quality (86.98) to the moderate level of quality (92.39). Owing to history and social economic basis, coordinated grade of agriculture eco-economy about Xulian rural economic zone had a low starting point 66.81, but from the trend of its development, this region is developing very fast and steady, gradually narrowing the gap with Taihu rural economic zone.
