Chongqing City, The Ecological Economic System Diagnostics And Regional Studies

This article diagnoses the eco-economic system of Chongqing with the connection quantifiable measurement and qualitative indexes. In the direction of related eco-economic theory, if analyzes the indexes such as ecological footprint, ecological carrying capacity, eco-economic efficacy and so on. On the basis of it, at first, this article divides Chongqing into 2 ranks of eco-economic region, and then advances the derection of eco-economic and the measurements of environment protection of each region.With the application of the computer modeling of ecological footprint, by means of balance in computerizing the resources (agricultural product) and the consumption of energy, we could know that the ecological footprint of Chongqing is 1.1861hm /cap. On the other hand, this thesis gets the figure of the ecological carrying capacity such as 0.4602hm2/cap after balancing. This figure is resulted in multiplying the land areas providing natural resources by the yield factor. The two figures indicate that there is 1 sever ecological deficit which arise in 0.7259hm2/cap in the system of ecological economy of Chongqing. The deficit shows the ecological footprint excess 1.58 times to the overall ecological carrying capacity, which indicates that we are exhausting the natural resources. Thus, we should increase the productivity of the nature system in per area and make full use of the current supply of resources, and reduce the number of population. Because the reduction in population can reduce the consumption of the per head and change people's daily living style. So that it can release the pressure of the ecological carrying capacity.This thesis selects 22 indexes, which respectively concern with the economic benefits, ecological benefits and social benefits. By means of the method of index's power, this thesis calculates figures of ecological economic efficacy about 40 districts and countries of Chongqing and the four qunicipalities of China. As a result, it shows the total standard of the ecological economic efficacy of Chongqing is in the under-normal situation, only as 0.9846. It is inferior to the average standard of China, which is 0.0154, and only a half of Shanghai. On the other hand, there exists far among the interal spatial differences of the ecological economic efficacy of Chongqing. Among 40 districts and countries, the highest one is the main district of Chongqingm, that is1.3593; the lowest one is only 0.566, which belongs to Yunyang. Therefore, the effective ways to solve these problems are try to make a proper plan in Eco-economic region, advance the related policies, which can improve its development and enhance the economic efficacy in different area of Chongqing respectively. With these considerations, it will enhance the total standard in the ecological economic efficacy of Chongqing.This thesis also selects 35 the integrative indexes, which concern with the ecology, economy and society of Chongqing. By means of the principal components analysis of SPSS software, this thesis performs on analyzing the principal components. As a result, there are six principal components. Enlightened in the principal of the eco-economic regionalization and the system cluster snalysis of SPSS software. This thesis alsodivides Chongqing as three main eco-economic region------urban eco-economic region,western district of Chongqing's eco-economic and the three gorges area eco-economicregion. Meanwhile, there are 8 secondary eco-economic region------river valley and lowhill in urban area eco-economic region, low hill in the north-west of Chongqing, low normal mountain in the south-west of Chongqing eco-economic region, mountain and river valley in the gorges area eco-economic region, mountains and hills in the three gorges area eco-economic region, normal-low mountain in north-east of Chongqing eco-economic region and normal-low mountain in south-east of Chongqing eco-economic region. Since the different characteristics of these eco-economic regions, this thesis advocates the developing direction and the environmental protecting strategies of these regions.
