Boiler is widely used as heating equipment in everyday life and production. With the adjustment of energy structure in our country, the gas boiler has been more and more attention for its economy, efficient and environmentally friendly features. Boiler combustion control is an important part of boiler's working, it has great significance in improving the economy, reliability and safety of boiler. In this paper, gas boiler combustion control system is studied and discussed, and a combustion control system based on fuzzy self-tuning PID control algorithm is designed.In this paper, the components and control principle of gas boiler combustion control system are analyzed, and the combustion mechanism is studied, so control methods of the combustion control system is determined. On this basis, a design of combustion control system is proposed. According to the characteristics of combustion control system, we select the fuzzy self-tuning PID control algorithm to achieve the control process. This control algorithm use fuzzy controller to automatically adjust PID controller's parameters on line, so PID controller can be made from reliance on the model of control object, and adaptive control object's real-time changes. In this paper, the process of designing the fuzzy self-tuning PID controller is described in detail, and the parameters, the fuzzy rules and the reasoning synthesis of the fuzzy controller are given. Using MATLAB as a simulation tool, the simulation model of fuzzy self-tuning PID controller is established and the further analysis of simulation is processed. Simulation results show that the designed controller's performance is stable, control performance is better than conventional PID control system.In this paper, the hardware and software of gas boiler combustion control system are designed. For the hardware, the main device and specific circuit design are introduced. As the core of the control system, Infineon XC886 Micro Controller Unit(MCU) has rich peripheral unit to use in the control system. The primarily module of combustion control system's hardware was designed, which includes the main controller and its peripheral circuits, signal acquisition module, real-time clock module, the output control module, interactive modules, and fault protection module. In this paper, the software of the control system is also introduced. The process of main program and the fuzzy self-tuning PID control algorithm are given.
