An overall scheme of marine engine room monitoring, controlling and alarming system based on dual CAN bus is researched in the dissertation, it is mainly used for monitoring the running status and working parameters of engine room and related facilities, judging and handling with abnormal situation. Fully redundant technology and custom CAN bus application layer protocol is adopted in the scheme, monitoring and alarming software is compiled by C++ Builder5, the software and hardware of distributed processing unit(DPU) with dual CAN interface are designed. The contents of this paper are as follows:The unit based on TMS320F2812 is designed, which has dual CAN communication interface and many functions, such as data acquisition and processing, alarm processing and output. And the relevant software and hardware are designed and debugged.Fully redundant technology and custom CAN bus application layer protocol are adopted, and the driver, which is used for handling with the communication between DPU and PC, is compiled.The monitoring and alarming software of host computer and distributed processing unit configuration software are compiled by C++ Builder5. The former is used to monitor engine room, the latter is used to configurate DPU's parameters and set local independent working mode.A scheme of high-precision signal processing algorithms based on TMS320F2812 is proposed, it is used to acquire and process kinds of sensor output signals, includes 4-20mA transmitter output, thermocouple and RTD output, and so on.Simultaneously, the system supports local monitor and alarm, when an important error occurs on host computer or dual bus, the unit can enter into local monitor and alarm mode automatically, the running status and alarming information of local connected channels are viewed by plug-in keyboard, LCD or by RS232C, RS485 communication interface.
