Sloted flat-panel antennas are the current hot research in the field of the antenna,because of such an antenna with small size,light weight,compact structure,high strength,easy installation,with a caliber of the use of high efficiency,wind power,power capacity,caliber flexible rate control,easy to achieve low and very low sidelobe,easy to form conformal surface with flight,etc. it has been widely used in the ground,shipborne,airborne,navigation,weather radar and beacon antenna and other fields. In this paper,the chapter I to chapter III are the theory part. Introduced the important position of the waveguide slot antenna in modern radar and the research history,the current situation and developments of slot antennas at home and abroad;Introduced the principle of waveguide slot radiation,the classification and equivalent circuit of slot,deduced the relationship of admittance of vertical slot in broad wall of rectangular waveguide to the scattering parameters of waveguide,as well as the impedance parameters of tilted slot in broad wall of rectangular waveguide to the scattering parameters of waveguide. Introduced two synthesis approach which are commonly used in antenna design engineering,discussed the calculation of directional coefficient and the standing waves bandwidth. Chapters IV-VI of this article are part of the design. Extracted the self-admittance of single slot by using the electromagnetic simulation software based on numerical calculation;Extracted the active-admittance of longitudinal slot under linear array;Respectively,extracted the active-admittance of the middle waveguide and side waveguide of plannar arrays. Extracted the active-impedance of the center tilt slot in the broad wall of waveguide. Respectively,designed linear array of 12 slot unit,using the self-admittance of the single slot and the active-admittance parameters of slots,and made a comparison between the two. Respectively,using the active-admittance parameters of the middle waveguide and the middle and side waveguide of the array,designed a planar array of 10×12 and made a comparison between the two,the results of simulation performance are excellent. The designed planar array antenna are made and tested,the focus are the gain and the pattern and the standing wave,the test results are analyzed,it is in accordance with the simulation result.
