Motivation is directly promote the activities of organisms to meet the individual needs of the internal state, is the direct cause of behavior and internal power. Any time teachers are able to inspire students to learn and motivation problems. Veeman(Veeman, 1984) have inspected the nine countries in more than 80 research institutions, the results showed that 98 percent of the teachers regarded as a motive biggest problem. Students are the main teaching body, and every effective teaching activity must involve the active participation of students. That is to say, the teaching quality is improved though the bi-directional interactive process between teachers and students. According to psychological research, the contrast between motivation to learn and grades is remarkable (0.34), just after the relationship between intelligence and grades (0.50). Therefore, students'motivation to learn is the prerequisite of effective teaching, and motivation influences grades and also teaching result.The paper is based on theories of pedagogy, psychology, the theory of motivation and the characteristics of computer teaching in vocational school. It probes into how to inspire and maintain students'motivation to learn in computer teaching in vocational school from theory and practice by the methods of literature analysis, questionnaire investigation, experiment and compare.Through the study of theory on motivate and motivation to learn, the paper concludes the concept of motivation in computer learning and its effects in study and analyzes the questions in computer learning in the present vocational school teaching. It points out that it is the urgent need to inspire and maintain motivation to computer learning in the present. Motivation to learn is the important supporting factor in developing study activities and an important sector in the vocational education teaching process.The questionnaire investigation is used to look into the motivation to computer learning of the science students in vocational school. The result shows: 1. for most of students, their motivation and initiative in learning computer are quite positive and discontent with what they gain in computer, as a result, the rate of disliking or even abandoning computer-learning is increasing, or quite high. 2. Though no less students consider themselves interested in computer-learning, with less motivation. 3. the factors that influence students'computer-learning motivation are mainly some of the students had a case of crabs before they entered the vocational school, the students do not have enough knowledge, absence of assuredness, and do not interested in computer-learning itself and hope to learn some knowledge form the class. We should attach more importance to the sign. How to improve the motivation level of the part students has become a problem which is in dire need of solution.On the base of questionnaire investigation, I combination of secondary vocational education in the medium of instruction in computer professional requirements and characteristics of subjects, was constructed in the process of teaching computer application motivation to learn excited mode. I make a try t design strategy motivation in the teaching progress in order to find out the ways of cultivating and inspiring students'motivation to learn in computer teaching. In accordance with computer teaching type, we have designed teaching research cases of theory course, and practice course, and have performed experimental research. Research shows: 1. in the aspect of grades, the students in experimental class is obviously better than control class. 2. in the aspect of motive emotion of computer-learning, the students in experimental class is better than those in the control class not only at the outer behavior performance of motivation but also the inner psychological factors treating computer-learning. It has significant difference between experimental class and control class, which shows that our teaching research has effected the desired result. In the teaching process, must importance is attached to the design of motive strategies, and students'motivation to computer-learning has been cultivated and inspired effectively. The research has achieved fairly good effect of teaching.
