With the rapid development of electric power and electronic technology, electric power and electronic devices, such as non-linear load have been widely used. But in the actual process, the harmonic makes increasing serious impact against the electric network, and if unchecked, it will seriously affect the entire electric network. Thus, the harmonic power of real-time compensation has become much more important. As a new harmonic and dynamic reactive compensation devices introduced in the 1970s, compared with the traditional passive LC filter, APF (Active Power Filter) has the advantages of fast response, good compensation and dynamic compensation.With the research of parallel voltage APF, this paper systematically analysis the principle of the parallel voltage APF, the compensation properties and other issues. Moreover, we deeply study the p-q method based on the instantaneous reactive power theory and the improved harmonic current detection ip-iq method based on the instantaneous reactive power theory. Considering to the parallel the triangular wave carrier linear control of APF and the current hysteresis tracking control, we introduct the DC voltage feedback control tache to ensure that the APF has a good compensation and following characteristics. Through theoretical analysis, we also compare their characteristics respectively.Based on the above analysis, we study and design the main circuit parameters of APF and the hardware controller circuit of TMS320F2812 chip with the core of hardware. The hardware circuit includes: current acquisition circuit, voltage conditioning circuit and signal sampling circuit. With the help of MATLAB, the model simulations are designed based on the parallel APF algorithm. Simulation results show that the harmonic currents play a role in better compensation and the compensation has good dynamic characteristics. In CCS software, the data collection process and harmonic current wave detection algorithm are prepared and satisfactory results have been achieved.
