Progressing rapidly,informationizing construction of land and resources,an essential constituent of Digital China and Digital Territory,is the key to convert the mode of land and resources management radically and modernize relevant workings.In the informationizing of land and resources,data which is fundamental and crucial means a lot in it.However,for the reason that land and resources data relates to a great deal of contents, it is complex system engineering while managing it scientifically and effectively.At present times,relatively grown up land resources database is able to store mass relating data.Nevertheless,lacking deep processing towards such data cannot fully reflect the value of raw data at the price of corresponding high cost.Also,there are few methods in data analyzing and decision assistance.Therefore,a combination of data warehouse and informationizing in land and resources can improve the ability of relating information system in decision assistance, supply scientific basis to decision making,and full play the potential value of land and resources in macro control and land gating.This paper discusses the applications of data warehouse and relating theories in land and resources informationizing.Furthermore,a land and resources data warehouse of Beijing City is constructed as an example.Firstly,basic theories are introduced including concepts,system structures,data models,key technologies,and solutions.Basing on analyzing characteristics of land and resources data,an ETL method dealing with land and resources attribute data and spatial data is introduced in view of status quo of Beijing land and resources.Research is undertaken on decision making theme choosing,data warehouse modeling, constructing strategy,and constructing work flow,in the base of demand-orientation.An example of logical model particularly referring to land use condition and farm land classification is made.And a data market is constructed aider the design of relevant data warehouse structure.On the fundament of data warehouse model discussed above,this paper then sets up a prototype of decision-making system basing on Beijing land and resources data warehouse, which is developed in the environment consists of DBMS SQL Server,spatial data middleware ArcSDE,and data warehouse software MicroStrategy.
