| There are increasing entertainment elements in the sports news in the media of China since 90s of last century. There are arguments on this phenomenon among the supporters and the opponents in the academia. The vague understanding and different interpretations of the entertainment elements in sports news bewilder the sports media in China during their practice in the journalism, which calls for the fresh academic definition and interpretation.Thereby, this task emphasizes on the time and special orientation of entertainment elements in the sports news. The phenomenon is surveyed and interpreted in the multiple disciplines of philosophy, culture, sociology, psychology and Western Communication firstly. Thus, the phenomenon can be analyzed and judged from the academic perspective. At the same time, the point of view is demonstrated that the entertainment elements in sports media in China has its own rationality and promotes the social progress, which clarifies the vague understanding of the phenomenon and gives theoretical guidance on the development of entertainment elements in the sports media in China. Secondly, the sports regress to its entertaining function increasingly. That entertaining sports news will grow into the focus of competition between media in China and foreign counterpart with the rapid internationalization of China. However, this type of sports media has not been fledged. Hence, this task conducts the case study of"Miracle Star"which is a type of sports entertainment program based on the study of editing theory and evidence and tries to develop the study of sports into countermeasure mode from conception, and from academic mode into strategic mode.This task reaches the following conclusion based on the panorama study of entertainment elements in the sports news in China: the sports'return to the essence of entertainment reflects the human pursuit of freedom. Therefore, the phenomenon is the return to the essence of sports in substance. The academic evidence of multiple disciplines demonstrates that the addition of entertainment elements in the sports news in China is the necessary trend of development of news and social progress. This phenomenon in sports media in China has its own rationality and promotes the social progress. The characteristics of entertainment elements in sports news in China are materialized in contents and form. The attempt by sports media in China in the entertaining function of news promotes the growth of sports industry and sports news in China. There exist many issues during the attempt: the outdated ideas, lack of excellent professionals and administrators with multiple-discipline backgrounds and experiences, and lack of well-rounded operation mode, etc. There is a gap in operation and marketing mode, human resources, capital and degree of industrialization compared with foreign counterparts. |
