As the scientific power are playing more and more important role in the international competition, every country all over the world begin to attach high importance to science and technology communication, which is rising as a branch of communication study.In China, the range of TV's coverage is larger than any other mass media such as newspaper, journal, radio and Internet. With the special predominance in different sorts of media, TV has become the most popular and efficient media for science spread. Therefore the theoretical research of science TV program communication should take more efforts to study.The thesis launches describing from several following respects mainly:The first part is "the developing history of Chinese Science TV program". This part introduces the history of the science TV program of our country, and the current situations of development course.In the second part, this article analyzed the s the specialty of science TV program. The article carries on the discussion from the concrete creation existing problem of the current science TV program..Affected by traditional science view, the popular science TV program of our country pays attention to the spread of scientific knowledge, have ignored the scientific method and scientific spirit. So in the third and fourth part, this article is focus on the new trends of program producing practice. It makes some explorations of the successful models, and finds out two new trends on creation idea of Chinese science TV program: from Science Popularize to Public Understanding Science; and Humanism.Because it closely related to science and knowledge which is hard to understand, the research of the communication strategy become very important in the science television programs. According to the theory of ELM (the Elaboration Likelihood Model of Persuasion) created by Petty R.E. and Cacioppo J.T. in 1980's, the communication strategies can be divided into inner and external ones. As the audiences are not familiar with the science television programs and their motive is not aroused effectively, the external strategies are more important; as the audiences are attracted by and inclined to the science television programs, the inner strategies become the main problem. To improve the quality of programs belongs to inner strategies, and enhancing program package, increasing the forms of programs, and changing communication mode belongs to external strategies. This theory tells us that we should not only pay attention to the creation idea innovation of science TV program, but also should improve the program's package.In the end, this article carries on the discussion of the sustainable development of future Science TV program, and delivers some constructive suggestions for researchers and professionals. I would like to have comments.
