The men's fashion magazine in this paper doesn't include the financial, automotive, real estate, military magazines which are read almost by men. In narrow sense it means the integrated or professional fashion magazines that published exclusively for men. In international community, the operation of this kind of magazine is mature; it has a steady reader group. In Chinese mainland, men's fashion magazine has gradually developed since late 1990*s; its development is in primary stage of imitating others.In China's specific social circumstances, the research of men's fashion magazine should consider the background of both consuming society and popular culture. At the same time, China's special acceptor group should also be thought about. The research of men's fashion magazine in this paper is set in the fashion chains in of globalization. I want to probe into the relations between fashion and social transition; I also want to study the development of Chinese men's culture and social class, through studying the samples of men's fashion magazine and reviewing the theories of fashion clothes and bodies in specific historic period.The method of literature analysis is used in this paper. By using the professional knowledge of communication I have unscrambled the text, which include reporting method, narrative method, the relations of literal symbol and video symbol. By studying the usage of these skills, I have found how they serve the viewpoint and the ideology hidden in the paper. This paper has four parts: the first part explains the conditions of literature and the analysis of social background; the second part explains how to construct the masculine space with the gender theory. The third part researches into the acceptors of men's fashion magazine in Chinese mainland. In the last part, I have analyzed the media influence and thriving space of men's fashion magazine.
