Differing from the traditional communication networks that we know, Wireless Self-Organizing Network can be deployed rapidly and conveniently without existing network infrastructure . The wireless link layer protocol is one of the key wireless self-organizing networks studying.To implement a multi-hop wireless communication network with capability of self-organizing is the primary purpose of the Program..The System differing from the MANET, it designs a hierarchical wireless network architecture. The network uses frequency hopping(FH) at physical layer and static TDMA at MAC layer. The characteristics of FH-TDMA bring forward special requests on data link layer.The paper designs a new data link layer protocol using piggyback transporting technique.The design effectively decreases the appearing of short packets on the channel, furthermore, with small and stable spending, it realizes link maintenance.ARP restrain,topology framework perception and so on..The protocol makes use of the characsteristics of FH-TDMA,which involes invariable frame length, periodical transmitting, adopts associated design and solves the short packet problem effectually.The paper implements this protocol in Linux Operating System, experiments the protocol software, testifying the validation of the protocol to VHF Self-Organizing Network.
