Generation of realistic scenes is a important topic in computer graphics. It is widely used in many fields. And it has broad practical foreground. This paper is a part of the practical project. The main contents of this thesis is how to generate the realistic three-dimensional scenes。Firstly, the dissertation introduce the basic knowledge of the realistic images display in computer graphics, such as coordinateas transformation, shadow transformation, hidden handling, illumination handling, texture, color and atomization etc. Secondly, the dissertation discuss the mathematics model and the basic character of the fractal Brownian motion in detail , introduce several common fractal Brownian motion generation algorithms, compare and discuss the performance of these algorithms. To fulfil the system's request, we choose one category of algorithm. Based on this random midpoint deflection procedure, we give a practical fast planar fractal Brownian motion generation algorithm. At last, the dissertation introduces the developing environment simply and introduces the design of the whole system and the flow chart of the dividual module in detail. Based on the researched result of the above theory and the VC++6.0, the system using OpenGL has been established, and the final realistic scenes output by the system is given.The final result shows that the fractal Brownian motion generation algorithm which is given in the dissertation can suffice the project. The speed of the texture Generation and the fidelity of the three-dimensional scenes meet the practical demand. The function of the whole system achieve the prospective aim.
