Nowadays, Multimedia technology, with its rapid development, has already been widely used in many fields, such as closed circuit television, teleconference, computer image processing and etc. The transmitting and processing of the video signal play a very important role in Multimedia technology.Because of the cost, the traditional processing system, which has to base on PC and software, cannot be widely used. Profiting from the rapid development and excellent performance of DSP, a new video capture and processing system emerges. It consists of a kernel DSP and logic-control element (CPLD or FPGA). This kind of device can overcome the above shortcomings effectively and is much more prevalent. But the capture processes of digital video introduce noises unavoidably. Noises will degrade the visual quality of captured video and affect efficiency of other video-processing device, e.g. the noises will degrade the quality of video compression. So, besides the design of the hardware devices, the noise reduction of the digital video is a necessary to improve the quality of the process.Using TMS320C6713 as the kernel DSP, the design of a Multimedia plat is completed in this thesis. Double-SRAM buffer are used for video input and output and the logic-control elements are two CPLDs. In order to store and process more video signals, the author uses two SDRAM and a FLASH memory. For video denoising, this thesis achieved an algorithm based on motion-detection, i.e. Kalman Auto-adaptive Filtering and Temporal Auto-adaptive Filtering. The related DSP software modules have been actualized on the TMS320C6713 platform to achieve the video signal denoising.
