The hospital information system (HIS) is one new discipline, which emerges in our country for nearly ten years only. Because the hospital environment and the medical domain is extremely complex, each hospital scale, the service flow and the service operation flow standard is different so the hospital information system may be the most complex one among various MIS systems, and it is still at the early stage in our country.The construction of Hospital information system (HIS) is for the purpose of applying the most recent information technology achievement, the union actual need in medical service and the management process, took information as the item of hospital important resources, the centralized management, forms the hospital information network. A raises the management level, the assistance decision-making, causes the hospital economy to face the high benefit and the high-grade direction is developing. The main work and achievements of this article include:(1) This paper studies and compares at present domestically many kinds of editions HIS which had, has discovered their general character and the insufficiency, has analyzed their design thought, has provided reference for this topic research in the theory and the method. This system passes through "take manages as the foundation, the decision-making for the goal, the technology is the method," the whole development thought.(2) Revolves this whole development thought, this paper has established the goal system function model, has determined the realization system method and the technical plan, including system network architecture design and secure design. Uses system structure of C/S being primary and B/S being auxiliary, the overall balance of the system performance is guaranteed.(3) This paper has introduced theoretically basic concept of the I2DEF model, discussed this model frame pattern, has analyzed this technical characteristic and the significance, has elaborated the reason of selects the I2DEF design method in HIS, thus a good technical method is provided that the HIS development work carries on smoothly.(4) Utilizes the design analysis method: logical data flow drawing, the distributional work and the component software design thought, beginningfrom the concrete detail of realization, the paper has analyzed, designed and realized this system. The overall system designs from the top, the modular realization, the modular structure guaranteed the system for expandability and may cut out the nature, it supports the long-term plan and the development of hospital. This system has utilized in many hospitals.
