Intelligent information home appliances, along with the expansion of internet into families, have entered numerous houses and the society as a whole. Meanwhile, more and more diversified network technologies are employed in home environment, and people put forward different demands for connection, communication, can data sharing among different devices and networks. However, devices under the same roof are, in most cases, not provided by one manufacturer and thus do not share the same technology, which makes it difficult to build home networks. Therefore, it's inevitable to integrate the network technologies in home environment.With the ihome home network system developed by SVA as a study sample, the major task of this essay is to explore how to develop digital home network systems with OSGi. This essay first introduces the application of home networks and popular technologies in such environment and proposes that OSGi is the ideal technology in current home networks. The writer then explains and analyzes the OSGi structure by illustrating in detail the requirement of ihome network system, system structure chart, interface design and its realization and providing examples of how the system runs.In addition, this essay discusses some algorithms when devices connect to OSGi network and how to improve the real-time of OSGi. The essay also introduces JAVA authentication and authorization in the end.This system makes the intelligent home network more approachable and provides a solid base for home information networks based on OSGi to become the national standard of information home appliances.
