Research, On Electronic Medical Records System

Computer-based Patient Record (CPR) is the trend of hospital information system. In developed countries such as the United States and Japan, many universities, research institutes and manufactories throw into the research in this field one after another. And various government and non-government institutes started the formulation of the standards in this field. The government departments participate in the promotion of CPR by all kinds of campaigns. Due to the complicate situation of CPR in the hospital information system and lack of a complete and integrated knowledge on CPR, the complete CPR system has not been established. Therefore, in our country, more and more people are aware of the importance of CPR. However, there are still certain amount of people do not have the same understanding of CPR.This article explained the background of the research on the CPR system including the concept of CPR and the CPR system, the purpose and significance of CPR, and raised the content of this research and the objectives of the development. Based on the analysis of the demands of the CPR system, especially the analysis of the requirements of the functions of the text editing program of CPR, the article explained the general design of the system from the aspect of functional design. It employed the methods of shielding of the copy of outside documents, automatically generating the systematic information which existed in the system, to solve the problem of inappropriate copy in the writing of CPR. From the point of the management, documents and the system, it accomplished the safety of the system. It established the sub-systems of start over, early warning, accomplishing, and statistic to achieve the purpose of the quality control. Through the maintaining of the database and the pattern, it reached the demands of maintaining the system. And it provides several forms of printing of the records including re-printing, continued-printing, page-selecting printing and tidy printing. It also integrated the document editing program into the main program to complete the functions of collecting, processing, storage, service and monitoring of CPR, and achieved a series of CPR system which is aimable and operatable.
