As the drastic competition of global world market and the rapid development of computer network technology, most manufacturing enterprises begin to research manufacturing technology based on the network, and now it has become one of the research focuses in the world. Based on the current condition of the network manufacturing technology, this paper trys to find a easy way to establish a measuring and controlling system, which has the character of modularization.Firstly, some basis and network technology used in manufacturing enterprises are discussed, such as MAP/TOP and FieldBus, and then a classified way for a measuring and controlling system software according to the general controlling characteristics of equipment is put forward in this paper.Secondly, some commonly used functions for the substrate equipment interface are presented and discussed in detail. The functions are the communication between equipment, the management of data, the interpretable technology of NC codes, secrecy and safety, the data swap skills etc, especially the study about the characteristics and constitutions of such familiar modules as A/D, D/A, and I/O modules.In addition, the influence on the design of modules under different operation system, and the operations on I/O ports and timing of themeasuring system are discussed.Finally, some measuring modules are tested combined with an engineering application case, and the results show those configurations of the measuring modules can be easily adapted in an industrial project after a little modifying. So the modules can shorten the developing periodicity, and can be widely used for engineering applications.
