Component Object Technology In The Tourism Information System

Geographical Information System (GIS) is a new direction of computer application and research. It is an integration of computer graphics, digital image processing and database management system, etc. It is a computer database management system for capturing, storing, indexing, analyzing and displaying spatial location data. It can combine spatial data and attribute data efficiently, and provide a kind of visible query method. Components Geography Information System(ComGIS), the latest tendency of GIS technology.With the development of information technology, the informationization of tourism industry has already become a kind of inevitable trend. In recent years, China's tourism industry has developed rapidly, but its informationization is still at an early stage of development. After joining in the WTO, the international tourist market will further expand. As a result of emphasizing on individualization by international tourists, a tourism information system that provides integrated multiple functions such as recommending, guiding, organizing and booking is strongly expected. GIS technology that has strong spatial analysis and visualization functions offers technical support for constructing the tourism information system .In the light of this, the thesis probes into the setting up of the tourism destination information system oriented to international tourists.This thesis reviews and prospects the process of the tourism informationization at home and abroad, and chooses ComGIS as the combination of tourism industry and informationization. Based on the tourist market, this thesis takes Meizhou as an example, based on the need analysis of the system and its design, with the ComGIS software SuperMap Object which made in china, the author developed the integrated system in Visual Basic and applied it in Meizhou tourism information system. For all of these research, the paper provided a technical pattern for constructing Meizhou tourism information system, and it also offered the experience in using ComGIS for regional tourism information system and other fields.
