Design And Implement Of The Intelligent Transportation Geographical Information System

For years a lot of practices both in native and abroad have proved that the solution for urban transport problems which only depended on the development of basic road infrastructure is ineffective. Besides the support comes from the marco-policy of transportation, the management of mordenlization transportation also plays a very important role. With the continuous development of high-tech such as computer technology, electronic technology and communication technology, there are some new ways to solve the urban transport problems by transport management. The application of geographical information system is highly successful in dealing with geographical data. The exciting visual tech can not only locate the position of the transport infrastructure quickly but also represent the status of these infrastructures and roads effectively.The article discuss that how to apply the geographical information system technology in urban traffic planning, and how to establish the intelligent transport system for the requriment of traffic development in Nanning city of GuangXi province. The system is suggested to approach the problem by means of geographical information system component software. Because the GIS was integerated in the whole system , some of the traffic facilities will be displayed in the concreate map and become more easy to control and manage , in this way the traffic will also become more free,secure and efficient.The thesis explained the design and implement of the system in detail, it is focused on software development methodology such as Object Oriented Programming, reusable software component and some of the relatied algorithms. The traffic control GIS was constructed based on Mapobjects which is a GIS component software pruducted by ESRI. Now the system has been integerated in the intelligent transport system in Nanning city and it has obtained a good result.
