Antenna measurement is an important work in the course of the development of radar antenna, near-field measurement technology is an advanced antenna measurement technology developed in near several decades, which is used in the testing of radar antenna widely. In order to test its new-type radar, research institute of Aerospace Ministry consign a Beijing company the subject matter which is the design of radar antenna near-field measurement and flat-plane scan control system. This subject is just a practice engineering project developed for this design task. In this subject, we design hardware circuits of the system based on Intel's 80c196kb single-chip computer and Xilinx's FPGA, design work console using Visual Basic6.0, and realize the function of FPGA using VHDL language. In order to realize the normal data communication between each part of the system, we adopt serial communication and parallel communication technology, and design the communication protocol. Against the problem of unstable and lose step during the running of stepper motor, this subject adopts ten subdivision mode and PWM mode to control the motor, which realizes the most error of measure probe is under 0.025mm. During the design of hardware circuits and printed circuit board, we take a series of measures to design the reliability of the system. After completing software and hardware designs of the system, we debug the relative functions on each circuit board. After ensuring the functions of each circuit realized, we debug the system. The results of system debug prove that the system has satisfied the request of the task and actual requirements.
