Research Of The Folder Based On Single-chip And Practice Of Teaching Method

This paper is finished on the basis of Electron Technology by the University-Industry-Science Institute Partnership model. Author designed a control system for an automatic folder which based on the single-chip and hope to use this design as an example to develop instructional software for the students to display the practical application of the Electron Technology. Through this software students can make better comprehend about this subject and enhance their interest.The automatic folder is used to fold blueprints. When the folder is switch on, there is an original dimension in the program, and user can select different dimensions by pushing the keys. When user pushes the blueprint into the folder, one of step motors will startup and make the drawing into the folder uninterrupted. At the specifically moment another step motor will startup to fold the drawing. At last the folded blueprint will be pushing out automatically. The automatic folder will be wide used in our country.The paper introduced automatic folder's actuality in foreign countries. While in the process of designing, according the concept of modulization the control system was divided into three interrelated parts. The function, main components and design philosophy of each part was described in detail.The single-chip in the main controlled circuit is AT89C52 which produced by ATMEL company in American. The program was stored in its internal RAM. The keys' and sensors' interrupt signals and step motors' control information was processed by parallel communication. The LED display information was send by serial communication. This paper also had taken the study of step motor control.The single-chip was programmed on the basis of the circuit, and then the chip can control other components in the circuit and step motors to implement automatically folding. There are many subprograms which have common function. It's convenient for the main program to use them.
