For Monitoring Applications Embedded Internet Technology

The application of Embedded Internet System based upon Linux is a tendency in the field of remote monitoring and supervision. Embedded Internet will change the architecture of monitoring and supervision system, emhance the system expansibility and reduce the cost. In this premise, this paper works over the Embedded Internet technology based upon Linux.The paper first tells about the basic theory and correlative technology about embedded system and brings forward the architecture of monitoring and supervision system based upon Embedded Web Server. Then it works over the methods of constructing the embedded Internet service system with Linux which mainly include the following aspects: how to boot Embedded Linux System; how to revise the Linux Kernel to adjust it to embedded application, especially how to revise the virtual memory mechanism; how to mount a file system to Embedded Linux System; methods of developing device drivres; how to connect Embedded Linux System to Internet. At last, an Embedded Web Server with fundamental functions is implemented on the Linux platform runned with x86 CPU, and further developing orientation is discussed.
