To Ensure Network Reliability Indicators Research

Integrated Support Network system (ISN) is a complicated system, which is composed of communication network systems, traffic network systems, material supply network systems, etc. Reliability is the precondition for system to realize its function, and also is the essential condition for system to survive. Particularly, in military field, the reliability problem of ISN is very important.The standards of reliability evaluation for ISN system are different and the reliability indexes, which are chosen to evaluate the system, are also different. Considering the above facts, through studying the existing reliability indexes and finding the shortcoming of them, I propose a new reliability index of Importance Degree. The Importance Degree index is used both for the ISN in condition of war and natural failures. I discuss the idea of Importance Degree and propose the definition and calculation method of importance degree.I present a reliability index system of ISN. ISN is made up of several sub-network systems, but transportation and communication sub-network system are the main composition. Some indexes in the reliability index system are generally suitable for all of the sub-network systems, but the others are suitable for some special systems.A computer-aided system for calculating the reliability indexes of ISN is built up.
