Wireless sensor network research is catching more and more attention as it wide application in battle surveillance,environment and medical treatment. As a new way to obtain information, it gather information by means of deploying a large number of sensor nodes in detection area and send this information to the end-user reliably and quickly by multi-hop wireless communication. Due to the limitation of energy and bad environment,wireless sensor networks are vulnerable to suffer energy exhausted or natural factors’ destruction.As a result,a part of the nodes break down and the performance of the whole network is delined.Reliability is a important norm of wireless sensor network,especially in the military and medical treatment fields. Wireless sensor network, because its node distribute randomly and node’s mobility,is different from the traditional network. So the traditional method of evaluating network’s reliability and importance may not be suitable for wireless sensor networks. In the present research focuses on the reliability of the link and node by analyzing the abnormal work caused by the change of the network. This article study wireless sensor network in the view of reliability and importance and present a new method to ensure the reliability of wireless sensor network. The main research work and results are as follows:1.A novel algorithm called link-contraction method for evaluating the importance of link in wireless sensor network is proposed. And then proves this method is equal with the link-deletion method from aspects of theory and experiment. At last,a method which based on two measures is proposed. Compare with other methods,this method has a higher accuracy in evaluating the importantance of series link. This method improved the link importance evaluation system in terms of considering the link importantance from two measures.2. A novel algorithm called node-interpolation method for estimating the importance of node in wireless networks is proposed which base on the characteristics of mobility. This algorithm not only can evaluate the importance of each sensor node, but also can find the best position for new join node when it need to add a new node in the network. On the basis of the node-interpolation method, a new method which use to ensure reliability from the angle of invulnerability and connectivity is proposed. This method can ensure wireless sensor network’s reliability both in design and operation.3. In two terminal reliability, a method of link existence based on the transmission power is presented. This method give each cluster define a reliable transmission power according to their different topology.Experimental result show,this method can optimize sensor node’s transmission power on the premise of ensuring the reliability of every cluster and increase the life of network.
