The actuality of semiconductor device simulation software development is summarized, and the model of semiconductor devices, the basic methods of semiconductor device simulation and the representative procedures are developed, then the increasing demand of semiconductor devices, the comparison with several simulation systems for semiconductor devices and the necessity, the feasibility, the significance of the distribution parallel simulation for devices are analyzed. The model of semiconductor devices and the equations for the model are analyzed. The boundary conditions and arithmetic analysis of semiconductor device numerical analysis through bipolar transistor are completed. The client program, the middle ware and the server program design are partially realized at the base of computer technology in the need of semiconductor device simulation and the partitioning of functional modules for the simulation system, then the discussion on the input parameters and the analysis for the output result are implemented. In order to prove the simulation system's correctness, the 1-dimension steady analysis for transistors is completed with MATLAB5.3, a numerical tool. It is described that the simulation system is applied in the exploitation of new semiconductor devices, and the advantages are shown if the behavior and process simulation are combined. Conclusively, the innovations of the distribution parallel simulation system are summarized.
