Research And Analysis On Students' Archives Management System In East China Jiaotong University

Under the dual standard of the continuous improving education dimension and quality in East China Jiaotong University(ECJTU), how to manage the student archives efficiently and orderly become an urgent problem. In this paper, we analyze the significance and importance of archives management system based on the actual situation of ECJTU, and summary the problem need to be solved in establishment of this system.In order to meet the business needs of students’archives management system in ECJTU, combining with the research on the use of similar system among colleges and the actual situation of ECJTU, seven business modules of this system are analyzed in this paper, containing the file entry management, transfer management, borrowing management, statistics report, query and consulting service and system management, thus expounds the significance of this research project. First of all, the original business of this system is analyzed, especially its processing needs to be optimized. Secondly, we take advantage of data flow diagram to analyze the system function. From the perspective of business function, we design the top-layer data flow diagram and further refine first and second layer data flow diagram, then design the overall function and detailed function according to HIPO method. Finally, IPO method is applied to the analysis of data requirement and E-R method is used to represent entity types, attributes and relations, we design the database table detailedly in the last step.The East China Jiaotong University student archives management system established by the above analysis, could further optimize the work processing, improve the work efficiency and enhance the value of archives, provide a high quality service for the users. At last, we summarize the whole work of this paper, and state the future development and the next work of student archives management system.
