The technology of mobile robot involves many aspects knowledge of mechanical, electronic, automation, communication and other areas, which is widely used in many fields. Based on the investigation and study on the intelligent car at home and abroad, in order to realize the remote control of the intelligent car from the epigynous computer, we design an intelligent car based on the radio control model, and complete the following work:Firstly, in order to obtain the sensor collect information for intelligent car, we carry on the research through the detection of ultrasonic obstacle, speed and heading angle for intelligent car. For the obstacle detection module, we write the obstacle detection procedure and obtain the stable range by ultrasonic experiment; For the speed of vehicle detection module, we design related detection program and get the change curve of car speed under the different duty ratio by experiment; For the heading angle detection module, we study the working principle of electronic compass and measure heading angle.Secondly, for the problem of selecting the car movement speed, we analyse the car movement position deviation under different speeds, and determine the right straight and turning speed of the car. In depth analysis of the car tracing operation, we put forward a kind of optimization scheme for tracing and design the end condition and exercise program. For the global path planning problem of free mode, in order to improve the algorithm’s search ability and convergence speed, we propose a method of path planning research based on the improved genetic algorithm, and make a path simulation experiment successfully.Finally, we design the wireless communication system based on ZigBee, including the design of the underlying serial communication on the car, the communication of ZigBee module and graphical interface based on Windows API. Simultaneously, we make a related experiment testing on the wireless communication system, and discover the transmission effect is stable and reliable.Through the related technology research of the intelligent car based on the radio control model, we realize the remote control of the intelligent car and verify the correctness of the related achievements. From this, we promote the intelligent process of the mobile robot, and the research of the intelligent car has some important application value.
