3D reconstruction of medical image is to process,using computer technology,a sequence of continous structure images,and then obtain a3D image,which can be used for quantitative detection.It is also an important application of computer graphics and image processing in biomedicine engineering.With the develoment of Image acquirement(such as MRI、CT),as well as the computer graphics,it is possible to improve the technique for obtaining hight quality3D reconstruction of medical images.SPM is a neuroimaging software,which is mainly used for extracting the brain activation area. SPM has powerful function on medical image segmentation and registration,Incorporating3D reconstruction technology it can get the entire cortex with correct topology,including deep convoluted silci and gyri.As to be a professional image programming interface, OpenGL has powerful functions in graph drawing.Under the environment of vc++,OpenGL can get artistic and accurate crebarl cortex image by rendering3D grid of crebarl cortex.This paper implements a cerebral cortex reconstruction system based on SPM and OpenGL, it involves image acquisition, image segmentation,3D reconstruction of medical image and the final rendering.Main work is as follows:1.Image segmentation is studied.This paper adoptes the cerebral cortex reconstruction method based on voxel, the key and difficult points of this method is image segmentation.This paper introduces the random walk algorithm, a interactive image segmentation algorithm based on graph theory, and analyses its advantages and disadvantages.SPM image segmentation is a unified model combined tissue classification and template registration.More over,combining with the actual operation of software,paper analyzes its segmentation principle.2.Voxel Based Morphometry and Statistical Parametric Mapping is introduced.Then barin image is segmented uisng SPM’s powerful image reigistration and segmentation function.3.To study3D reconstruction of cerebral cortex.This paper discusses the classical surface rendering algorithm Marching Cubes and its ambiguity problem,and correction algorithm is applied to extract the correct triangular mesh vertex order.4.To adjust the attribute of lighting and material,OpenGL can get a accurate and realistic cerebral cirtex image.
