With the rapid development of science and technology, biometric technology,especially the ifngerpirnt recognition technology, provides a more reliable and securesolutions for identity authentication. Because of the universality, stability, uniqueness,security can be collected and many other advantages of the ifngerprint, ifngerpirntidentification has become an effective means to identify individuals currently.However, the conventional automatic ifngerpirnt identiifcation system either costshigh or has poor performance, leading to the low acceptance of ifngerprint recognitiontechnology for people and rarely been used in the classroom education.Embedded automatic ifngerpirnt identification technology has now become ahot topic. This paper studies the fingerpirnt recognition algorithm firstly, which issuitable for embedded systems. The algorithm focuses on the improvement oforientation ifeld of ifngerpirnt extraction algorithm in order to solve the problems ofthe not very high accuracy in conventional mask orientation field of ifngerprintextraction and the large computation in the fingerprint extraction with the orientationifeld gradient method. Then,the paper elaborates the design of hardware and softwaresystems. The hardware circuit includes minimum system circuit, ifngerprintacquisition circuit, external expansion memory circuit,OLED display circuit,keyboard circuit,and other auxiliary circuits. In this paper, the system software isdesigned based on the STM32,including the various functional modules of theprogram and the realization of the overall functionality of the program,among which,the overall main function is used to control the keyboard and user names and naminginformation stored in the system through fingerpirnts. Finally,the system is fullytested.Through the experiment of the system designed in this article, the obtainedresults proved that the fingerprint identiifcation system designed based on theSTM32F103VET6microcontroller has the advantages of simple circuit structure, lowcost and power consumption,better recognition speed and accuracy,etc., which hasimportant signiifcance for the promotion of fingerprint recognition technology.
