Research On Network Rumors

Rumor is an old phenomenon of information dissemination. As the internettechnology goes up and the cost of spreading rumor goes down, the efficiency ofrumor spread becomes higher and the impact to the social becomes deeper,whichmakes more and more people focus on the problem of rumor spread.Anonymity andconvenience of the Internet makes more people could fabricate and spread networkrumor randomly,through the forum, micro-blog, Micro message and other new mediaforms of information carrier,which will pollute the information environment ofinternet,even mislead the public opinion,leading to the bad social mood, and affectsocial harmony and stability. It has huge potential harm. Under such a basic academicattitude, this study concentrative discuss three fundamental questions ofinternet rumor’s dissemination: The first is how to define internet rumor and what isits relationship with the "rumor" concept.The second is how the Internet rumorsspread and evolution, from the view of the communication theory, and what is the thecommon propagation during the dissemination process among all the complexcontents of internet rumor. The third is what value and harm the internet rumor can dotu us human.after combing the three basic problems systematically,this paper focuseron how to make more effective use of legal to control the internet rumor,and then, wecombine the experience and deficiency of the rumor database which due to controlinternet rumor,and search other methods beside the law.
