| Through literature review, questionnaire survey, interview and mathematical statistics, this research analysis the current situation of postgraduates in physical activity among 13 universities and colleges in Hunan province. The questionnaire was designed to know the present situation of sport behavior and the factors affecting in sport participation, such as basics information of the student, his interests and attitude to participate in physical activities, the places of sport practice, the choices of sport, his consumptions related to sport etc. After statistical analysis we obtain the following conclusions:in sport behavior, the sport activity frequency of a postgraduate student is too low; each time of practice is too short; the main form of participation in physical activity is with classmates or friends; the time of sport practice is mainly concentrated in the afternoon. The factors that prevent Hunan postgraduates to take physical activity include:schools venues and facilities cannot satisfy the needs of the students, sport activities organized by schools cannot really meet students'demands for practice; postgraduates have not sufficient knowledge about physical activity and related domains etc. On the basis of the analysis of the lack of physical activity for postgraduates in Hunan, and each factor that influences their sport behavior, this paper proposes the following suggestions:schools should offer postgraduates physical education class; organize postgraduates sports clubs; increase student interest in sport, strengthen the development of the consciousness of lifelong physical training; cultivate postgraduates'physical education self consciousness; accelerate school sports'software and hardware construction; actively organize postgraduates to attend all kinds of sport competitions; make exercise prescription for students; launch new sports which suit for postgraduates; open various forms of sports events, and provide more choices for postgraduates. |
