Adolescent Conflict Management Strategy And Its Social Adaptation

The resolution strategies to parent-adolescent conflict mainly refers to such manners which were utilized by adolescents to control the situation of conflict with parents or to terminate conflict behavior, which was an important index to weigh adolescents' social interpersonal techniques and play an important role on adolescents' social accommodation ability. Investigations have found the factors to condition adolescents' resolution to conflict were various, which included not only adolescents' personalities, but also other factors such as their parents, families, environments and social cultures.On the basis of open investigation, the research succeeded in working out the parent-adolescent conflict resolution questionnaire with Chinese traditional culture under the guideline of the theory of interpersonal conflict. By which, we made primary review on the characters of adolescents' resolution to parent-adolescent conflict and primary analysis to the relationship between adolescents' accommodation ability and their resolution skills.914 5th ,7th,8th, 10th, 11th grades selected from jining ordinary primary schools and middle schools were about between 10, 11 and 17, 18, who were asked to fulfill some questionnaires and scales to explore the characteristics of adolescents' conflict resolution skills and their relations. The results showed:1. The results showed that there was significant difference among the conflict resolutions, which were dealing with problems with active, succumbing skills, avoiding skills, revolting skills and other's regulation. At the same time, we found significant gender and age difference among these skills, but the mutual effect was not significant. The male's scores in dealing with problems and revolting skill were higher than female's, but lower in succumbing and others' regulation skill.
