Cooperation, reciprocity and co-prosperity are the key tendencies of the competitions for modern market. A tourist destination can improve its attraction and ability to compete with others by means of exerting advantages while compete and cooperate with another tourist destination. Therefore, study on it is of great importance for sustainable development of regional tourism.On basis of a generalization about the competition and cooperation for regional tourism and the present development of the south-west tourism ring, the essay designed an ideal model for tourism competition and cooperation in south-west tourism ring through a comparative analysis on its tourist resources and commodities.The thesis consists of six parts, and the fifth part is the key of the essay.1 . Summarized the former researches on competition and cooperation for regional tourism, and gave a brief introduction about motivation, significance and the problems to resolve.2 Explicated the definitions concerned.3 Discussed the Regional Theory, the Systematical Theory, Theory of Comparative advantage and their guiding roles in analyzing competition and cooperation of regional tourism.4 Analyzed the present condition, the spatial distribution, the development chances and challenges of south-west tourism ring, to get a whole knowledge about it.5 Gave a detailed design about share and rearrangement of tourist resource, renewal and exploitation of tourist product, spatial composition of south-west tourism ring, construction of marketing system for tourist destination, compilation of tourism planning, found of coordinated mechanism for competition and cooperation of south-west tourism ring on basis of a comparative analysis on advantages of tourist resource and product of it.6 Concluded the thesis, the problems existed and planned the research areas to continue in the future.
