The Communist Party of Russian Federation (CPRF) is the most conspicuous one among the resurgent Russian parties after the disintegration of the Soviet Union. In the short decade, the CPRF have experienced a series of hard and rough process-initial establishment, losing power, reestablishment and development. Up till now, it has developed into the biggest party of the opposition faction in Russia. In addition, the CPRF once gained the absolute advantage in parliament and became the first largest party, successfully entering into the second round of ballot in the presidential election, which aroused great public concern. At present, the CPRF is still a fundamentally important political force, which cannot be replaced in the system of Russian political party.Under the difficult condition after its reestablishment, the CPRF makes profound adjustment in theory and practice. It sets up a flag for the party's development by formulating programs which stipulate its chief goals, its nature, its guiding ideology, the organizational principle and the minimum program. The CPRF puts forward its policies concerning economy, diplomat, religion and so on. The CPRF adheres to legal struggle, as a result, it has achieved considerable success, and has become the major force in the Russian socialist movement. Apart from the great progress in practice, the never stops the exploration in theories. On one hand, it introspects the history of Russia and the reasons of its disintegration. On the other hand, it gives further consideration to the issues on socialism. Compared with the traditional theories, the CPRF has made transformation and innovations in socialist theories, which reflects that the CPRF can adapt to the change of times, and complies with the tide of historical development.Further development and trend of the CPRF is determined by such factors as its nature, reform policy, solution to surmounting divergence and disintegration, as well as the overall development state of Russian socialism. At present, the CPRF is still in a comparatively hard situation-various challenges from inside and outside the party restrict the development of the CPRF and that of Russian socialism. In short, the CPRF is confronted with more challenges than opportunities. Even if there is the possibility that the CPRF may draw closer to society nationalism, it will not lay down the socialist flag. The CPRF's socialist resurrection will unavoidably follow a long and tortuous course.
