Chinese Painting "comic" Fun

The paper aims to discuss on the creation exploration of wash painting work of the author and the "artistic conception" and "bone method within painting" techniques in the actual creation process of traditional Chinese painting. The paper stresses on the creation idea formation and artistic evolution of two great masters as Feng Zikai and Ye Qianyu during the first half of the 20th century.Feng Zikai and Ye Qianyu are two characters of uniqueness in the history of Chinese painting in 20th century. Both of them have many accomplishments and are "parachuted" in Chinese painting field from other artistic areas. They have innovative ideas and many attempts to the tradition of Chinese painting, have a deep love and are devoted to protect the tradition.Seen from today's perspective, Feng Zikai and Ye Qianyu are not the pure traditional Chinese painters. It is because of their understanding and achievements in the whole society, art and other circles that they are not imprisoned in the so-called traditional shackles of thousands-year traditional Chinese painting. They can adopt a take-for-their-own attitude, worth of reference, to the tradition. Two features as "nature" and "use" are embodied from the two painters. The author mainly focuses on the implication of "innocence" and understanding of "significant form" proposed by Feng Zikai from the artistic nature. The author then sets his sight on Ye Qianyu's evolution from a cartoonist to a traditional Chinese painter and his inheritance and development of the Chinese art of line painting.At the end of the paper, the author refers to his exploration and creation experience of traditional Chinese wash painting.In view of the problems and predicament encountered by the contemporary wash painting and "artistic conception" and "ink painting", the "module" concept put forward by Germany professor Lothar Ledderose, which plays a significant role in the history and practice of Chinese painting, the author brings forward some ideas.
