Yuan Dynasty is an important period in the developmental history of neo-Confucianism. The principal character in this period is that the officialization of neo-Confucianism comes true. But the process of officialization is tortuous and arduous. In the course of destroying Jin and Song Dynasties, the conflicts among national cultures are sharpening and the rule ideals of the Mongolia Khans are changing. After building Yuan Dynasty, the monarchs frequently come into contact with the Han cultures have a more profound knowledge on the neo-Confucianism than the Song governors. And they come to aware of the functions of neo-Confuciarusm on the feudal rule. In order to ease the national contradicts and reinforce the feudal rule, the monarchs of Yuan Dynasty carry out such policies as stressing "Han laws" and "Confucian scholars" in a penetrating way. And one of the important prerequisite in the officialization is to put the Confucian scholars in an important position. With the work of neo-Confucian scholars, especially Zhao Fu, the Mongolia rulers and northern scholars become familiar with neo-Confucianism through lecture given by Zhao Fu. Through the great efforts of the notable subjects as Yao Shu, Xu Heng and Hao Jing, the neo-Confucianism becomes popular in the northern part and among the Mongolia people. But it is hard for the scholars to spread neo-Confucianism because of the turbulent political situation in the beginning Of Yuan Dynasty and the unstable status of Hans. The nongovernmental scholars ,such as Wu Cheng and Liu Yin. As the academies growing vigorously, the officialization of academies appears. And the neo-Confuciamsm is changing from nongovernmental ideology to official one. At last, under the motivation of Li Meng and Cheng Ju, the neo-Confucianism becomes official ideology in the ruling period of Yuan Renzon. The tortuous process makes the neo-Confucianism change itself to fit the ruling class. That is learning a kind of ideology and deal with concrete matters. The officialization of neo-Confucianism in Yuan Dynasty not only promote the culture exchange and development, but has some positive functions on stabilizing the political power. However ,it also has some negative factors on the development of learning.
