This paper mainly describes the study on the chemical constituents of the rattan of Marsdenia tenacissima(Roxb).Wight et Am and the root of Alangium chinense (Lour.)Harms.Twenty-two compounds were obtained from the Marsdenia tenacissim -a(Roxb).Wight et Am and the Alangium chinense(Lour.) Harms by the means of traditional phytochemical methods.Among them,the structures of sixteen compounds were characterized by IR,1H NMR,13C NMR and MS spectral data.Nine of them were obtained from Marsdenia tenacissima(Roxb).Wight et Arn and the Alangium chinense(Lour.)Harms for the first time.Part one,twelve compounds were isolated from the rattan of Marsdenia tenacissima(Roxb) Wight et Arn.Among them,the structures of ten compounds were identified as hentriacontane(WS-01),docosanoic acid(WS-02),palmitic acid (WS-03),(E)-undecyl-4-hydroxy-3-methoxycinnamate(WS-04),lupaneol(WS-05),s -tigmasterol(WS-06),daucosterol(WS-07),saccharose(WZ-01),(E)-hexacosoic-4-h -ydroxy-3-methoxycinnamate(WY-01) and succinic acid(WY-03).Among them, WS-04,WS-05,WS-07 and WY-01 were isolated for the first time from the Marsdenia tenacissima(Roxb).Wight et Arn.Part two,ten compounds were isolated from the root of Alangiurn chinense (Lour.)Harms.Six among which were identified as hentriacontane(BY-01), daucosterol(BY-02),β-sitosterol(BY-03),tetradecane(BY-04),stigmast-9(11)-en-3-ol (BY-06) and 3,4-di-O-methylellagic acid(BY-09).All of the identified compounds were isolated for the first time from Alangium chinense(Lour.)Harms,β-sitosterol outside.
