Patients With Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Self-care Ability And Its Influencing Factors Analysis

ObjectiveChronic obstructive pulmonary disease is a disease with high incidence and disabled rate. The patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease not only need proper care, but also encouragement of self-care so as to alleviate the burden of family and society,thus improving the patients'self-worth. Self-care Agency and its correlativ factors such as patients'personal background,patients'condition,family and social surroundings are srudied in this paper.MethodsThe descriptive statistics in non-experimental study were performed in the study . The hospitalized patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease of 4 hospitals were investigated, with 120 copies of effective questionairs were collected.Five copies of investigating papers are as follows:Patients General Background, The Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale(ESCA),The social support scale, Self-rating anxiety(Depression) scale. Patients General Background and the social support scale were filled in by investigator,While ESCA Were filled in by patients themselves .The received data was analyzed by SPSS13.0 for windows as follows:Descriptive statistics were performed to evaluated patients general background,Self-care Agency ,the condition of social support ,the condition of anxiety and depression. One-Way ANOVA was performed to measure the different levels of Self-care Agency; Corrslative factors of Self-Care Agency of the patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were evaluated by Logistic regression.Results(1)the total scores of Self-care Agency are 112.43±23.466,middle level 52.5%,advanced level 47.5%;the scores of 4 related factors are as follows:self -concept33.92±6.787;self responsibity,31.89±7.909; self-care knowledge,24.88±6.270; self-care ability ,21.74±4.857.(2) Correlative factors of Self-care Agency measured by One-Way ANOVA (P<0.05) include education degree,occupation,medical expense,economic income,social support,depression status.(3)Positive correlation is existed in between the social support degree and self-care agency. (4)Negative correlation is existed in between depression and self-care agency. (5)Forming Logistic multiple regression equation:regression coefficient of education degree, occupation,economic level and social support.ConclusionsThe conlusions show as follows(1)The Self-care Agency of patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diease is above the middle level. (2)The social support degree of patient with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is above the middle level.and positive correlation is existed in between the social support degree and self-care agency.That is self-care agency is increasing as the greater degree of the social support. (3) The patients have different degree of anxiety/depression and negative correlation is existed in between depression and self-care agency,That is:self-care agency is decreasing as the severier of the depression emotion. (4) Correlative factors of Self-Care Agency include education degree, the time be in hospital and social-support degree..The side of newthe influence on the self-care agency of patient with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease are systematic studied..Deficiency(1)The convenience spot check was adopted and there existed sample error.(2)The patient with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease who.is .the intensive state of an illness is excludedproposition(1)Longitudinal study.should be carried on because of conditions such as time and budget etc is limited.①Heath education by telephone shouled continue to carry out with COPD patients.At the same time ,the change of self-care agency shoule be evaluated.②Compared the acquired evaluation of self-care agency with the evaluation by nurses for COPD patient,we find the difference between them and solute the existed problems.(2) The sample number and the zone of investigation should expanded. So as to make the concousion perfect.
