There are 32 cases together, of which 30 cases finish the test, 15 cases in each group. In the research 2 cases are lost. The treatment group, 15 cases is treated with acupotome for three times, once a week. The comparing group, 15 cases is treated with electrical acupuncture for nine times, 3 times a week. They are conducted by the special person. In the following check half a year later, curative effects are evaluated from many aspects, such as clinical symptom and physical sign, biomechanics, gait analysis, local tissue tension, skin micro-circulation.Result: According to the JOA, from the scores of knee joint, the average scores of treatment group were 27.4 before therapy, and 51.7 after therapy, of which superior 10 cases, good 3 cases, ordinary 1 cases, no difference 1 cases, while comparing group 29.6 before therapy, 42.8 after therapy, superior 2 cases, good 7 cases, ordinary 2 cases, no difference 4 cases. Compare the curative effects of the two groups, the differences between them have obvious statistics sense that acupotome is obviously much better than electrical acupuncture.From the function of knee joint, we observe the improvements of the symptom of arthritis, in the treatment group, 10 cases are cured, 4 cases are improved, and only one case makes no difference, making the effective rate 93.3 percent. Acupotome group is better than electro-acupuncture group.The changes of displacement measured by tensiometer under 500g pressure differ greatly (P<0.05) before and after the test in the treatment group and the comparing group, which show although the two both have good effects, acupotome therapeutics is better than electrical acupuncture.The changes of skin temperature show no differ (P>0.01) before and after the treatment in the treatment group and comparing group, which show although the two both have no effects on average skin temperature. But clinical reseach observed that acupotome therapeutics have significant changes at the local tenderness in temperature, local skin temperature is much closer to the contralateral symmetry points.The changes of tenderness differ greatly (P<0.05) before and after the treatment in the treatment group and comparing group, which show acupotome therapeutics is better than electrical acupuncture.Conclusion:1.The treatment group and comparing group both have good effects on knee osteoarthritis.2.The curative effect of acupotome is obviously much better than that of electrical acupuncture.3. From the analysis of gaits, acupotome therapeutics can help knee joints back to the balance of biomechanics.4.Acupotome therapeutics can lower the local tissue tention of the disease area, and improve clinical symptom and physical sign.5.Acupotome therapeutics can improve the skin micro-circulation and achieve the balance of meridians.
