Objective: To observe the effect of Jing Tong Shu method on Prim ary dysmenorrheal of the type of Congealing cold blood stasis, and provi de scientific basis for the clinical applicationg of Wen Jing San Han and Hua Yu Zhi Tong method (warming meridians to disperse cold , regulatin g vital energy and resolving stasis to stop pain) .Method: 60 cases suffering from primary dysmenorrhea disease (Con gealing cold blood stasis) were selected. They were divided into treatme nt group (n=35) and control group (n=25) with random method. The pat ients in treatment group were given Jing Tong Shu, while in control gro up given Yueyueshu Granule. Before and three menstrual cycles after the treatment, the scores and duration of abdominal pain, the scores of o thersymptoms and signs were recorded. The index of blood rheoiogy wer e also detected. Results:The total effective rates of primary dysmenorrhea disease in treatment and control group wre 94.29% and 84.00% respectively with obvious difference between them (P<0.05). The low-sheard viscosity, he matokrit and high-sheard reduced viscosity could be improved in both gro up (P<0.01) , and there wre obvious difference in hematokrit between th em (P<0.05).Conclusion: It was indicated that Wen Jing San Han and Hua Yu Z hi Tong method had a better effect on Primary dysmenorrhea disease.Th e reason may be correlated with this method regulating organism internal environment , promoting blood circulation of pelvic cavity, relaxing uterine smooth muscle.
